When you design a game gestartet.
1. Start with something innovative. This is your best chance to end up with something innovative.
2. Be an artist, not a scientist. Avoid any fixed methodology, and don’t follow well trampled paths.
3. Find your own style and handwriting. Following others will not lead you to innovation or glory.
4. Only design those types of games you enjoy playing, otherwise your passion will not shine through.
5. Remember that designs are like children. You can only guide them to full potential, but you cannot force them.
6. Playtesting is the lifeblood of game design. No matter how experienced you are, you must feel the fun.
7. Be prepared for a long iterative process. Going forward, going backward, taking many detours along the way.
